PPSO Arrests Four Men for Armed Robbery in Port Sulphur with One Outstanding Warrant Remaining

Belle Chasse, LA - After conducting a thorough investigation, the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) identifies all five suspects of an armed robbery that occurred in Port Sulphur. PPSO announces that the following have been arrested and charged with Armed Robbery - Maleek Maye, 25, of Kenner; Deveron Freeman, 22, of Slidell; Jakhi Paige, 20, of New Orleans and Jace Marcainte, 17, of Marrero. PPSO also identified Carneal Ducre, 19, of New Orleans as the fifth suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest on one count of Armed Robbery.

On May 12, 2026, PPSO District 2 Patrol deputies and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau responded to an armed robbery that occurred in the Port Sulphur area, where the suspects entered private property, produced firearms and removed an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) from the location. Due to the quick response, PPSO deputies were able to locate the suspects' vehicle and the stolen ATV in the Port Sulphur area within minutes. During the subsequent investigation, PPSO detectives utilized sophisticated investigative techniques and resources to identify the five suspects involved in this incident and executed a search warrant in Jefferson Parish that yielded the seizure of evidence of the crime. After issuing arrest warrants for the suspects, PPSO executed the arrests of Maye, Freeman, Paige and Marcainte with the assistance of our task force partners with federal and local law enforcement agencies while Ducre is currently at large.

"The technological resources available to our investigators and our active partnerships with multiple federal and local task forces proved to be invaluable in solving this serious crime."
