PPSO Sponsoring Dementia Workshop for the General Public

Sheriff Jerry Turlich and PPSO will be sponsoring a 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 on Wednesday, September 30, at One Hope Church located at 7737 Highway 23 in Belle Chasse.

ALL families and caregivers are invited to attend this vital and informative workshop from 6pm - 8pm. Come learn about the following topics and much more:

- Anatomical and chemical changes in the brain
- How to "respond" vs. "react"
- Approaches to care that promote positive outcomes
- Avoid distress through physical, emotional and social needs
- Techniques to promote engagement
