For Immediate Release
Belle Chasse, LA - The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of Drew Williams, 42, of Port Sulphur for drug-based charges including Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) Marijuana.
The PPSO Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement (DICE) Unit initiated an investigation after receiving complaints of possible drug activity in the Port Sulphur area. The subsequent investigation determined Williams was responsible for conducting numerous illegal drug transactions within the community allowing the PPSO DICE Unit to secure an arrest warrant as well as a search warrant for Williams' residence through the 25th Judicial District Court. On August 12, 2026, the PPSO DICE Unit, with the assistance of the Major Crimes Task Force and PPSO K9 Vader, executed the arrest warrant of Williams and the search warrant of his residence in Port Sulphur. The search yielded the discovery of an undisclosed amount of marijuana individually wrapped that's consistent with illegal street level drug distribution along with various items associated with the packaging and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Drew Williams was ultimately charged with Distribution of a Schedule I CDS (Marijuana), Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS (Marijuana) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Drew Williams has four prior convictions for drug-based offenses and is currently on parole until 2034 as a result of his most recent drug conviction.
