Belle Chasse, LA - Kinder Morgan recently made a $10,000 monetary donation to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) that was dedicated to the purchase of training gear and equipment for continual active shooting training and preparation.
C.J. Barrois, General Manager of Kinder Morgan Liquid and Bulk Terminals, along with Jason Frederick and Mike Mahoney presented Sheriff Gerald "Jerry" Turlich Jr. with the generous donation at the PPSO Administration Building in Belle Chasse. The training gear and equipment will allow PPSO to continue vital training such as active shooter scenarios and strategic structure entries.
"This equipment provides us with the means to simulate real-world situations so we can stay prepared and proficient for the safety of our deputies and the residents of Plaquemines Parish," said Sheriff Turlich. "Thank you to C.J. and Kinder Morgan for your continued support to the safety and quality of life of our community."
Kinder Morgan is involved in Plaquemines Parish through its Evangeline Pass project, a natural gas pipeline that supplies the Venture Global Plaquemines LNG Terminal. The Evangeline Pass project involves pipeline expansions and compressor stations to increase the flow of natural gas to the LNG facility.
