Belle Chasse, LA - Kinder Morgan continues its support of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) by making a $10,000 monetary donation dedicated to the purchase of training gear and equipment for active threat training and preparation.
C.J. Barrois, General Manager of Kinder Morgan Liquid and Bulk Terminals, presented Sheriff Jerry Turlich with the generous donation at the PPSO Administration Building in Belle Chasse. The donation will be used to purchase protective gear and non-lethal, paint-filled simunition rounds that will allow PPSO to continue annual training that focuses on active threat scenarios and strategic structure entries.
"We have consistently conducted this vital training annually, and that is only made possible by donations like this," said Sheriff Turlich. "Thank you to C.J. and Kinder Morgan for helping us with purchasing the necessary simunition and proper training equipment to safely train in order to adequately prepare and be ready to respond to any threat."
Kinder Morgan operates the International Marine Terminal (IMT) a major dry bulk export facility on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near Myrtle Grove and Port Sulphur with it being primarily used for handling coal, petroleum coke and other bulk products.
