Sheriff Turlich Team Up with Duke Riley for a School Supply Giveaway

Sheriff Jerry Turlich and PPSO are honored to join forces with Buras native and local NFL   Star, Duke Riley, with a backpack and school supply giveaway scheduled for Sunday, August 2, from 1pm - 3pm at South Plaquemines High School located at 34121 Louisiana Highway 23 in Buras, LA 70041. If your child is in need of supplies ahead of the 2026 - 2027 school year, please join us as backpacks and various school supplies will be provided by Duke at no cost for students between Pre-K through High School. PPSO is proud to assist Duke in this process and will be providing light refreshments for the event.
