On Saturday, September 25, four members of PPSO participated in the National Seat Check Saturday event at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Kenner. The four deputies; Lt. Eric Becnel, Sgt. Jonathan Balestra, Deputy Chris Thomas and Deputy Emmette Sylve are nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and members of the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force. They joined other members from the New Orleans/Troop B area Task Force to safely install and check over 30 car seats. Special thanks to the Sonic Restaurant group for partnering with the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force and donating car seats.
