See the attached Press Release from the Flood Protection Authority regarding the closure of the Highway 39 Floodgate near the Plaquemines/St. Bernard Parish line. PPSO will conduct roadblocks at this location to monitor vehicular traffic entering and departing the parish. PPG advised the Belle Chasse/Scarsdale ferry will continue to operate at normal hours as long as the weather conditions are favorable for safe travel. The Pointe-a-La-Hache ferry is scheduled to cease operations tomorrow, July 12, at approximately 9am.
