07/12/2019

The following is a press release issued by the Plaquemines Parish Government:

Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office has now joined to assist Plaquemines Parish Government in the enforcement of these rules. Particular emphasis on unpermitted activities along the River. These activities including unauthorized loading/unloading of boats and vehicles, driving, parking, and other practices that may damage the levees or may hinder inspection efforts, which are now occurring on a daily basis. With the historically high river levels we are currently experiencing, let’s work together to maintain the structural integrity of the levee system during the Tropical Storm Barry. Please contact the Plaquemines Parish Government Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 504-934-6471 or the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office Incident Command Center (ICC) at 504-934-6782 with an complaints, questions or concerns.
