Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office reports 1.8% decrease in crime for 2021. Sheriff Jerry Turlich has released the PPSO's 2021 FBI Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) for Plaquemines Parish and has also included the crimes statistics from the past four years.

"Despite slight increases in assaults and auto thefts, I am happy to report an overall decrease in crime," said Sheriff Turlich. "I have a great team full of men and women dedicated to serving and protecting our community. We will continue to work hard to increase the quality of life for all our residents while adapting better and more effective tactics to protect individuals and property from those who want to commit crimes in our parish."
