PPSO Arrest Marrero Man Wanted for Kidnapping and Armed Robbery in Marion County, Florida

Belle Chasse, LA - Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich, Jr. announces the arrest of Mark Cambre, 57, of Marrero, Louisiana as a fugitive from the Marion County Sheriff's Office in Florida for the charges of Kidnapping, Burglary with an Assault or Battery and Robbery with a Firearm.

On June 1, 2022, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) District 2 Patrol Division received information from the PPSO Agent assigned to the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force that Cambre may be traveling in the area of Port Sulphur, Louisiana. With the assistance of PPSO Deputies currently working an off-duty public assignment in a construction zone, PPSO District 2 Deputies were able to locate, stop and apprehend Cambre without incident.

"Our participation in the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force was an integral component that aided us with the arrest of a dangerous, violent criminal," said Sheriff Turlich. "Great job to all the deputies involved in this apprehension."

Mark Cambre is currently being held at the Plaquemines Parish Detention Center awaiting extradition to Marion County, Florida.
