On the evening of June 11, 2022, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) District 3 Patrol Deputies intercepted a stolen vehicle at the intersection of Highway 39 and Highway 3137 on the eastbank of Plaquemines Parish. As the responding deputies were conducting a stop of the stolen vehicle on Highway 3137, the vehicle was involved in a single-car crash causing the four occupants to flee the scene on foot. With a coordinated effort from responding deputies along with the cooperation from members of the community, Terrance and Jeanpierre were apprehended attempting to flee the area with the assistance of Encalade after making entry into a nearby residence without consent in an attempt to evade deputies. During a canvass of the immediate area, deputies located and apprehended the two juveniles involved in the incident near the scene of the crash. Deputies also recovered a firearm during the subsequent investigation.

"Thanks to the resiliency and determination from my deputies involved and the strong relationship with our community, we were able to apprehend all the suspects associated with this incident," said Sheriff Turlich. "The safety and protection of my deputies and all the residents of this parish will always be my top priority."

Trevor Terrance and Ranzanae Jeanpierre are still currently confined at the Plaquemines Parish Detention Center. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the PPSO Dispatch Center at 504-564-2525.
