MuniLicense License Online Renewal Process 2023

The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office Tax Division is proud to announce that we have officially transitioned to an online web service for all Occupational and Alcohol Licenses. Moving forward, all Occupational and Alcohol Licenses can be renewed online with a credit/debit card payment. The new web service is called MuniLicense. MuniLicense will streamline the license renewal process and will be much more convenient for our business owners to renew their Occupational and Alcohol licenses. All the businesses in our old database including their license history have been converted and transferred to the MuniLicense system. All business owners will need to go to www.munilicense.com and create a login profile. This will begin the registration process to link your login to your business account. Your login username will need to be your company's email address. Please ensure that the email address is a reliable address for the business. Once you have created your login profile, follow the onscreen prompts to input all requested information. Please be prepared to input your company Federal Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number to verify your business. You can access a PDF document at www.ppso.net/tax-office containing step-by-step instructions on how to create your login profile and link it to your business.

Once you have linked your login profile with your business account within MuniLicense, you will be able to renew your Occupational or Alcohol License including online payment, update all your business information including mailing address and point of contact for the business at any time. You will also have access to all documents associated with your business account including your issued Occupational License. In the event you misplace your Occupational License, you can download a digital copy of the license and print it.

Online payments can be made in the new MuniLicense system by credit/debit card or by direct draft from a bank checking account by means of ACH. When making payments online, the MuniLicense system will automatically assess a minimum fee of $3.95 or 3.45% of the total transaction amount convenience fee when paying by credit/debit card or a minimum fee of $1.49 or 1% of the total transaction amount convenience fee when paying by direct draft from a bank checking account by means of ACH. All the listed fees are assessed by the third party MuniLicense merchant account processing company. This convenience fee is not associated with the Occupational or Alcohol license fees due and goes directly to the third-party processing company.

Again, we are proud to bring this convenient service to our business owners. Please feel free to contact Lieutenant Michael Boudreaux at 504-934-6888 or Doty Fitch at 504-934-6894 if you have any questions or concerns in reference to this transition.
