The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of Lucia Moore, 43, of Buras for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The PPSO Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement (DICE) Unit initiated an investigation after receiving complaints of possible drug activity involving Moore. The subsequent investigation allowed the PPSO DICE Unit to secure a search warrant for Moore's place of residence which is located in the Buras area. On October 22, 2025, the PPSO DICE Unit executed the search warrant at the residence of Moore, where the search yielded the discovery and seizure of an undisclosed amount of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Methamphetamine) along with items commonly associated with the distribution of illegal narcotics. Moore also had three outstanding warrants that were issued by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.

Lucia Moore was ultimately charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At the time of her arrest on October 22, Moore was currently released on a bond stemming from an arrest from February of 2025 for the charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Illegal Carrying of a Firearm. Moore's bond has since been revoked.
