Three Arrests Made in Connection to an Attempted Armed Robbery in Boothville

The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) announces the arrests of Dykerrean Purvis, 23, of Boothville, Elijah Taylor, 21, of Boothville and Terris James, 21, of Holden, Louisiana on the charge of Attempted Armed Robbery that occurred in Boothville.
On the evening of November 11, 2025, PPSO District 2 Patrol Division deputies responded to the area of Boothville River Road where they made contact with the victim. The victim reported that two suspects armed with firearms entered his residence and demanded U.S. currency and items of value while the third suspect assisted with facilitating the crime. Ultimately, the three suspects fled the scene without removing any items from the residence.
District 2 patrol deputies quickly saturated the area and were able to apprehend Purvis, Taylor and James in the immediate area without further incident. Subsequent investigation linked Purvis, Taylor and James to the crime, at which time they were arrested and charged with Attempted Armed Robbery.
"The remarkable response time along with the determination and thorough investigation conducted by deputies led to the quick apprehension of all the suspects involved in this case," said Sheriff Turlich. "Luckily, no one was hurt during this violent encounter and all the suspects were arrested."
Dykerrean Purvis, Elijah Taylor and Terris James are currently confined at the Plaquemines Parish Detention Center. The circumstances surrounding this incident is still under investigation.
