Belle Chasse, LA - Chevron Oronite Oak Point recently made a monetary donation to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) that was dedicated to the purchase of four handheld radar guns.

After delivery, Robbie Robinson, Oak Point Corporate Affairs Representative, presented Sheriff Gerald "Jerry" Turlich Jr. with the four radar guns at the PPSO Administration Building in Belle Chasse. The radar guns will be distributed to deputies throughout Plaquemines Parish to assist with increased public safety through traffic enforcement.

"Chevron's longstanding support to the community Plaquemines Parish is truly appreciated and their dedication and assistance with public safety is admirable," said Sheriff Turlich. "Undoubtedly, these radar guns will be a beneficial tool with increasing safety while traveling through the parish especially in school zones."

Thank you to Chevron Oronite for being a dedicated contributor and supporter to the community of Plaquemines Parish since building the Oak Point additives plant in 1943.
