OFFICIAL NEWS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich, Jr. announces the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) will be participating in the 2019 National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

Sheriff Turlich along with members of PPSO will be traveling throughout the parish to celebrate the community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

"The Night Out Against Crime is one of my favorite annual events," said Sheriff Jerry Turlich. "It brings PPSO employees together with our neighbors from DTR, Belle Chasse and the Eastbank in a fun-filled evening surrounded by family and friends with the sole purpose of working together to fight crime and build on our already strong relationship."

If your neighborhood is interested in hosting a block party during the National Night Out Against Crime, please contact April Durnin at adurnin@ppso.net or 504-275-8255.
