PPSO Participates in "No Shave November" to Bring Awareness to Depression and Cancer

Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich Jr. is proud to announce the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) will participate in "No Shave November".

To participate in "No Shave November", PPSO personnel will make a monetary contribution to raise money in order to help bring awareness to depression and cancer. All contributions raised for this charitable campaign will be donated to the Plaquemines Parish CARE Center, a local agency that provides counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, families & groups.

"This will be our third year participating in this event raising over $3200 to help bring awareness to a worthy cause that affects many daily," said Sheriff Turlich. "Participating deputies will be permitted to have neatly trimmed beards while maintaining a professional appearance."

The Plaquemines Parish CARE Center is located at 115 Keating Drive in Belle Chasse and is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. by appointment. After hours appointments are also available. Please contact 504-393-5750 for more information.
