PPSO Books Two Men with Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Firearm

Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich, Jr. announces the arrests of Tedrick Williams, 43, of New Orleans and Tristan Williams, 33, of Waggaman for the felony charges of Possession of a Schedule II CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a CDS.

On November 7, 2019, the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) District I Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop in the 8000 block of Highway 23 in Belle Chasse of a vehicle operated by Tedrick Williams. During the course of the traffic investigation, deputies discovered Tedrick Williams and the passenger of the vehicle, Tristan Williams, to be in possession of an undisclosed amount of cocaine, crack cocaine and ecstasy along with a loaded handgun. Deputies also discovered an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and miscellaneous items commonly associated with the distribution of illegal narcotics.

"I would like to commend the effort and dedication displayed by all the brave men and women serving at PPSO," said Sheriff Turlich. "Whether it's the patrol division, narcotics, investigations or the traffic division; as a team we will continue to work hard everyday to improve the quality of life for all our residents."

Tedrick Williams was also charged with Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic/Improper Lane Usage, Suspended Driver's License and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon along with an outstanding attachment.

Tristan Williams was also charged with Possession of a Schedule I CDS Ecstasy, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon along with an outstanding attachment.
