On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, Le Bonton Divas (The Good Time Ladies) Social Club made a monetary donation to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) dedicated to the purchase of a bulletproof vest.

Carolyn Haas, known as the Queen Mother of Le Bonton Divas, was accompanied by member of the social club and presented the generous donation to Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich Jr. at the PPSO Administration Building in Belle Chasse. Mrs. Haas explained, "The men and women of the sheriff's office do an excellent job of protecting us and we wanted to take this opportunity to help protect them."

Sheriff Turlich expressed his gratitude to Le Bonton Divas by stating, "Officer safety is our main priority and we are truly appreciative that these awesome ladies share our sentiments. Thank you for your assistance assuring our deputies are protected."

Le Bonton Divas is a local social club loosely affiliated with the international Red Hat Society that was founded in 1998. Le Bonton Divas submits an annual contribution to a non-profit organization in the New Orleans area that benefits the overall quality of life.
